Part 1: Managing longleaf for pine straw
Eight longleaf stands at three stops, from fresh cutover to 32 years old.
Part 2: Harvesting pine straw
Raking and baling in a large stand of 24-year-old longleaf in full production.
The tour is a field meeting of the Lexington County Forest Landowners Association, hosted by the Moody family and Southern Pinestraw Supply on our tree farm in Pelion. Landowners, foresters, landscapers, our customers and the simply curious are all welcome.
